Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has described his late father, Alhaji Abdul Oyedeni Sanusi-Amosun, as a very religious, disciplined, and well organized man, who lived a life worthy of emulation.
Governor Amosun disclosed this, last Friday, at the 20 years remembrance of his late father who died aged 80 years on January 20, 1997. Posthumously, Pa Amosun is 100 years old this year.
The Governor, while recounting fond memories of his father said, “he was a one in a million father whose orderliness and love for education was second to none.”
Governor Amosun also used the ocassion to enjoin all members of the Amosun family to emulate the virtues and legacies left behind by their patriach.
In his message at the remembrance celebration, the Mufasir of Egba Land, Alhaji Musiliudeen Nasirudeen, admonished all Muslims to seek knowledge in order to know what is required of them at any point in time in their faith.
On his part, Governor Amosun’s elder brother, Alhaji Abidoye Amosun, speaking on behalf of the family, appreciated the Muslim clerics and all who came to honour their late father.
