Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday publicly identified with the African Democratic Congress (A.D.C), with a pledge to work with other patriotic Nigerians and groups to bring about the desirable change Nigerians need.

President Obasanjo, who spoke at a press conference in Abeokuta, said that A.D.C had embraced the policy of 30 percent of youth under 40 years and 30 percent of women in all organs of the party.

According to him, since the inception of coalition for Nigeria movement, a movement he floated early this year, many of the 68 registered political parties had contacted and consulted with the movement for them to work together.

The former president said this was why the leadership of the movement, after detailed consultation and bearing in mind the orientation, policies and direction of the movement, agreed to adopt the A.D.C.
