Come Saturday 31st of July, 2021, the beautiful scenery of Hunga M. DE. Suite along Egbeda-Idimu road, Lagos will play host to what could probably be one of the biggest events ever host at the venue as creme de la creme of the society both in industry, media world and entertainment will storm the place to celebrate one of their own, an accomplished and award journalist par excellence, Mr Murphy Ajibade Alabi who clocked 50 years of age on July 24, 2021.
The roll call will have Nollywood stars like Yemi Solade, Jaiyeola Kuti, Bimbo Oshin, Laide Bakare, Ola Samuel TAMPAN president, Mr. Latin are all expected to be there. Hon Kehinde Odeneye, a two time house of representative in Abuja will also grace the party.
Also expected to grace the golden year celebration of this award winning journalist who was adjudged Nigeria Best Entertainment Writer of the year in 2014 by NMNA is Dare Babarinsa the Chairman and Editor- in – Chief to be accompanied by his Executive Editor Dele Fashomi
Also expected at the golden year celebration is Adeleye Fabusoro the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rare Edge the producer of Aladunde, Borokini among other productions, Sola Olugbero (Sokem), while properties and Homes expert, SSAFRI will announce their presence with their Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ayeni Sunday and Ayeni Samuel the Executive Director gracing the occasion Samuel Madosi the chairman of Madosi Nig LTD is another celebrity expected.
Though it is meant to be a low key celebration but the friends of the ever smiling and friendly journalist who has been in the pen profession for over two decades decided to celebrate him.
“Samson Ajibade Alabi known and addressed as Murphy! is a vibrant journalist who has given established Fame to many Nollywood artists.
Murphy is a house name already in the field of entertainment reporting.
Many Nollywood artists got celebrated through his write up and it is high time he is celebrated too. That is why we planned to celebrate him come July 31st though the birthday falls on July 24,” declares Laide Gold, a journalist herself and head of the planning committee.
Aare Suru J. Hunga the Aare Lisa Igbore of Egbaland and the CEO of Hunga M.DE Suite where the ceremony will take place also eulogized the fast talking journalist who has worked in various media houses like : Westerner Magazine, Compass Newspaper, Tribune, Leadership, Newswatch, Daily Independent, and Daily Times newspaper.
