Subsequent to the story about Nollywood star actress, Liz Anjorin’s marriage published in Global Excellence magazine online on Saturday, July 18th, 2020, a mix-up has been discovered regarding the status of one of the women stated in the story to be his fourth wife, Temitope Mariam Toba (not Kenny as erroneously ascribed by our source).
Temitope, Global Excellence later found out, is actually a niece to Lawal Gboyega, not his wife. The error occurred due to shuffling of pictures by our source where Temitope is spotted sitting on Lawal’s lap.
Meanwhile, that Liz Anjorin’s husband, a scrap metals dealer based in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has three other wives is not in contention; it is confirmed that Lawal Gboyega dated the actress secretly for 14 years whilst he was married to other women who have kids for him.
The first wife, Kemi, we gathered, has two kids for Lawal. They are Ayomide and Hammed. The second wife, Jumoke bore him three children: Hamdalat, Rahman and Wuraola, while the third wife, Fola, who welcomed a new baby with Lawal three months ago during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, has her first child, a female named Latifat. We also gathered that Lawal had a private Nikkah ceremony for Fola. However, we couldn’t lay hands on the said events’ photos as at press time.
Liz Anjorin announced her private wedding to Lawal Gboyega on Thursday 16th of July 2020, with photos of the events praising him for keeping their affairs secret all the while. A reliable source revealed to Global Excellence that Lawal and Liz Anjorin’s secret romance was activated before the actress’ mother passed on.
Back then, claimed the source, the businessman, used to be okay financially until his economy suffered decline and he could no longer play his role as husband to his three wives and children. Before his celebrated wedding to Liz, Lawal was said to be staying in a room self-contain apartment in Ikorodu.
Presently, the source insists, Liz Anjorin’s three senior wives feed their seven children from their own pockets. They also reportedly pay the children’s school fees including house rents allegedly without any contribution from their husband.
Added to this, the source alleged, were regular disputes in Lawal’s home out of disregard for the women who we were informed silently bear the scars of physical and emotional tortures.
