Ogun State government has confirmed the partial collapse of a four-storey building at Itoku area of Abeokuta. But is said that no person died in the unfortunate incident.
According to a statement signed by the state’s Information and Strategy Commissioner, Mr. Dayo Adeneye, the building was still under construction when it caved in on Friday morning.
However, there are no casualties, while rescue mission is still ongoing.
Adeneye said that the State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who visited the site of the incident almost immediately, assured that the cause of the collapse will be investigated, while also asking the good people of Ogun State to remain calm and cooperate with the rescue team.
“The Governor also said integrity test will be conducted on the other part of the building to determine its fitness”, the statement reads.
