A former commissioner of police, Frank Odita, has been listed as the guest speaker at the 2017 edition of Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards which comes up on Sunday, 17th of September.

The awards event, the brainchild of seasoned entertainment personality and media practitioner, Mr. Sola Olugbemiro, which made its debut in 2006 was aimed at recognizing excellence and achievements of journalists from all genres, and was conceived with a view to appreciate media practitioners of their hitherto unrecognized contributions to the development and emancipation of Nigeria.

Speaking to Global Excellence magazine, Olugbemiro said that the past eleven years have seeing the awards event branding and re-branding, promising that the 2017 edition would surpass previous editions in terms of outlook and richness of contents.

Already,  the board has begun works on nominations and nominees for this year’s edition themed: “The Role of Media in Combating the Menace of Kidnapping and Security Challenges in Nigerian Nation.” And vips from all walks of life have indicated their interest to be part of the grand occasion.

The event takes place at the B-Event Hall, Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
