General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has warned against continued killings in Nigeria.

According to the servant of God, the 2019 elections may not hold if the killings are not put in check before then.

“My fear is, people may be afraid to come out to vote,” he gave the observation the last Friday Night Holy Ghost service.

Adeboye’s statement came days after President Donald Trump of the United States urged President Muhammadu Buhari to do something about the killings of Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria.

He, however, explained that he was not prophesying but was speaking based on the situation on ground where people are shot in their places of worship and attacked even in their communities and homes.

He described the killings as very serious and urged the church to pray fervently for divine intervention.
