A young scholar with vast knowledge in Islamic teachings, Mr. Mubin Olatoye Raji, has been appointed the provost of Islamic Institute of Accounting and Finance. Raji’s appointment was announced on the 19th of March, 2018.
Islamic Institute of Accounting and Finance is led by Prof. Asiwaju Busari Samsuddeen Akande.
Olatoye Raji was born over forty years ago in Lagos State, Nigeria. He had his Qur’anic, elementary and secondary education in Lagos State before he proceeded to Zulikha College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, an affiliate of Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University, Sokoto where he bagged a Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
He was later at Lagos State University, Ojo where he obtained his Bachelors of Arts degree and Masters Degree in Islamic studies respectively. Recently, he was awarded a PhD (Honoris Causa) in Religious Studies from the American Trinity University, California (African Regional Operations) due to his his intellectual contributions in the field of Islamic studies.
His areas of academic emphasis include: Qur’anic studies, Islamic economics and spiritualism as it relates to Muslim clerics and contemporary Islamic issues. He has published works on Islam as well as a number of academic articles in both local and International learned journals.
Raji has participated and presented papers in many Da῾wah and Academic conferences both local and international. He was formerly a member academic staff of Lagos State University.
He is presently the founder and Director of Al-Bayan Publications and Ventures, Lagos, Nigeria.
