The Yoruba movie industry will ever be grateful to Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, MC Oluomo on his role in bringing the remains of Moji Olaiya back to Nigeria from Canada.

As reliably gathered from one of the committee members, MC Oluomo was the brain behind the swift response the committee got from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the burial arrangement and the home coming of the Thespian corpse from Canada.

The Ebony vault in Ikoyi had guests from all walks of life in attendance as Moji Olaiya’s body was laid to rest.

Foluke Daramola, one of the committee members in her word said the great role Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo played in having the remains of the actress brought back home for proper burial was enormous. “It was a sheer luck to have the unflinching support of MC Oluomo and he did use his good link to have our heart desire come to reality.” She said.

“The family wanted her buried in Canada due to cash constraint. Bringing her to Nigeria for burial would have involved a lot of money and on our part as her good friends; we thought having her remains laid to rest here was the best we could do for her.

“Being an indigene and an Ambassador of Ekiti State we did communicate with the state government but it was in verbatim through one of his aides and we were told to make it formal. Meanwhile, her brother told us that he would only give us three days to work on how we could bring her remains back to Nigeria. He said if we were unable to contribute money he would go ahead and bury his sister in Canada.”

She added that when no help was coming as swift as possible from Ekiti State government, they decided to contribute money amongst themselves so that the corpse could be brought to Nigeria.

“Moji was a nice lady, a wonderful colleague that needed to sleep among her own people. She never planned for a journey of no return. Her plan was to go to Canada and have her baby and return to Nigeria. She never wanted death, she wanted to live, so when that happened we thought the best we could do for her was to bring her home, we were running around trying to gather money when Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, MC Oluomo heard about our plight and put a call across to Asiwaju Bola Hamed Tinubu and within 10 minutes, this great man took us in and the rest is history today. Verily, MC Oluomo has done a great deed for a friend and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu did act as a great Muslim to a fellow Muslim that was in dire need of help. We knew Moji would want to be buried here at home not in a strange land. This; Bola Tinubu has made possible for us.”
