Miss Nigeria UK, Teniola Sarayi: Falling in Love Not My First Priority

Oluwateniola Sarayi 18 years emerged winner at the Miss Nigeria UK beauty pageant in 2020.
In this interactive session with her during her visit to Nigeria recently, the vibrant and intelligent queen opens up on her winning secrets, her projects, how she will influence young girls to success and why she won’t go into any stupid love affairs.

On how she won the beauty pageant, she said ” I won Miss Nigeria UK 2020 through prayers, hard work and perseverance. I made a mental decision that despite whether or not I would win, I would try my very best hardest and in doing so, I won the crown”.

 

 

On her projects, ” I plan to carry out my charity EVLY project by connecting with sponsors, accepting donations from the general public and starting an online store for smaller projects to be put in place for the overall aim of creating a better Africa for our future generations to be achieved” she said.

 

 

When asked on how Nigerians would benefit from her reign, Teniola said: Nigerian will benefit from my reign because of my location as it enables me to spread awareness of issues going on in Nigeria and in the UK and promote Nigerian culture/ heritage as well as use first World resources from the UK for the benefit of Nigeria.”

 

 

She also spoke on the visible project she has carried out since she was crowned.” I have been able to put together a queens conversation series on Instagram that can be viewed on the official Miss Nigeria UK page but has unable to start up any project for charity due to lack of resources and restrictions of COVID. But with it being a life long goal, I have the utmost belief that I will achieve everything I wanted with it”.

 

 

Surayi further said, her charity organization EVLY’s aim is to create a better home for the future generations of Africa. She added that EVLY will soon be starting an online business selling productivity products and Africa’s inspired merch from which all profits will be reinvested into the charity as well as fighting to combat poverty, economic inequality, education quality, clean water and sanitation.

 

 

On how she will use her reign to influence some young girls who have lost their visions in life due to challenges, hear her, ” I will use my reign to not only stand tall as a strong, independent and committed black female figure but to also prove through continuous achievement that anything is possible if you simply commit, push, and strive towards the things you want in life regardless of the obstacles that came your way.

 

 

After her two years reign as Miss Nigeria UK expires, Teniola plans to start her journey towards Miss World/ Miss Universe by taking part in the MBGN pageant to qualify for them.

 

 

By all standard, Miss Nigeria UK deserves to be an ambassador to any products that are available to her but by moral standard, she hinted that she would never agree to promote a product or service she doesn’t believe in.

 

 

On her love life, this sexy but focused queen said, she doesn’t have any boyfriend. “Though love is a beautiful thing and I get advances from boys but I would never engage myself in stupid love affairs with any man for now”, she concluded.
