For those that had longed to hear the oracle speak, against the backdrop of his marriage crisis, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has opened up at last.
The respected monarch who spoke through his director of media and public affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare, urged those expecting a reaction from the sacred stool of Ife to stay calm, promising to make a public statement on the matter anytime soon, though, in his wisdom, marriage is a matter of the heart.
“The (Palace’s) official reaction to the issue would be made public soon,” reads the statement from Olafare, adding, “In spite of all being said on the issue, decorum still requires that we in the House of Oduduwa maintains silence, at least for now.
This is because marriage is strictly a private matter that should not be subjected to undue public uproar. When it is necessary for us to talk, we will surely talk on the issue.”
