A political figure in Kwara State, Chief Christopher Tunji Ayeni died in a fatal road crash penultimate week.
Kwara State APC members, neighbours, family members and friends, spoke in sepulchral tones and had mournful facial expressions as news of his death spread on Thursday.
Chief Ayeni, an indigene of Isapa, Ekiti local government, Kwara State, had left his hometown for Ilorin but sadly lost his life in the Kabba-Ilorin Expressway crash that occurred at Igbaja T- junction.
The late Chief Ayeni, who left PDP for APC a few months ago, at different times served as Deputy Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Commissioner for Agriculture, Special Adviser, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Ilorin and Kwara PDP State Secretary.
The late Ayeni, a civil engineer, who was the Akogun of Isapa land, was also a veteran House of Reps aspirant. A popular young politician in the state, who is a one-time Chairman of Ekiti local government, Hon Yinka Dallas, and the Late Chief C.T Ayeni are full siblings.
