Late Funke Adedoyin

28th September, 2018 was a very bad day for associates, friends and family members of Kwara state female politician, Princess Funke Adedoyin.

The news of her sudden and shocking death shook the entire social and political circles of the state; many are indeed yet to get over the shock. The late Adeoyin who was until her death the representative of Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke-Ero federal constituency in the house of representatives  had not really enjoyed good health for the past few months.  She eventually gave up the ghost in Abuja on Friday.

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed who through his Chief Press Secretary, Wahab Oba  described her death as shocking and devastating also  said the state has lost an outstanding representative. The late lawmaker was according to him full of passion to serve her community and uplift the people of her constituency, Governor Ahmed recalled that Hon. Adedoyin during her stint at the lower chamber attracted federal presence to Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke-Ero federal constituency and empowered a good number of people with a view to improving their economic status. While commiserating with the immediate family of Adedoyin, her constituents and the entire people of the state over the irreparable loss, the Governor also sympathized with her colleagues in the House of Representatives, stating  that the state would sorely missed her quality representation.  Hon. Funke Adedoyin is the daughter of the business mogul, Prince  Samuel Adedoyin.
