Kwara Governor To Commission More Projects

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed will soon begin the commissioning of the completed ones among the important road projects that are currently ongoing in the Kwara South and the Kwara North senatorial districts of the state. The hardworking governor gave the hint while inspecting on-going projects in Ilorin, he also promised that the projects will be commissioned in the next few weeks.  The governor who listed the road projects to include; Maigida-Arobadi road , Moro Local government, Lafiagi township road, Edu local government, Ipetu-Rore-Aranorin road, Irepodun local government, Share-Oke-Ode road, Ifelodun local government and Anilelerin road, Offa local government also emphasized  that his administration is committed to bridging infrastructure gaps in the state with a view to making life more meaningful for the people.

Governor Ahmed who said the decision to inspect the projects was to ensure the state gets value for the taxpayers money through which the projects are being financed also expressed satisfaction with the pace of work at the construction sites of the Spilt Diamond Underpass at Gerin Alimi, the dualization of Sango/University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital road and the Coca Cola bridge,  Ilorin  ‘I am so impressed with the level of work done.

The contractors handling the projects really adhered strictly to specifications and they are committed to the job to ensure that they are delivered on schedule’, he said.   The Governor who pledged to ensure timely release of funds to the contractors handling the various projects also noted that with the special fund window created through the  ‘Infrastructure Developments Fund’, all the  projects are destined for completion. He equally added that the state government decided to embark on some of the projects in order to ease vehicular movement and facilitate the transportation of farm produce to the markets.
