Eight among the Corp members that served in Ilorin, Kwara State and were ordinarily supposed to have completed the one year mandatory service have had their service extended as a result of  the various offences  committed during the service year. State Coordinator, Mr Amafuele Remigius made this known during the Passing Out parade at the Metropolitan Square, Ilorin. He said a total number of 1, 790 Corp members passed out  while  one among the Corp members died during the service year. Three Corps members however, received the prestigious NYSC State Honors Award. Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed who was represented by the Head of Service, Mrs Susan Oluwole congratulated the Corp members on the successful completion of the mandatory national service but however advised them to look inward and put to use the various skills they were taught with the aim of becoming employers of labour, rather than seeking the white collar jobs that are not available.
