This week Saturday, August 6th 2016, America-trained journalist and daughter of former Oyo State second republic civilian governor, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, will roll out drums for her 52nd birthday soiree.

Fondly referred as ‘Madam KOO, Kemi, we heard, would however not be doing it different than she did in 2014 when she celebrated her 50th; making it a real public affair.

According to her in a statement sent to this magazine, “I will be celebrating my 52nd birthday on the streets of Ibadan once again like I  did on my 50th in 2014”.

The day, she said, will start with a special video address to Nigerians on ‘Facebook Live’ at Facebook.com/HNNAfrica themed “Embracing The Truth,” aimed at encouraging Nigerians on why they have to speak the truth at all times and avoid the fear of controversy. She will later talk about her work on the streets with her kids’ grassroots foundation, Kemi’s Kids Foundation (KKF), which is funded by her with support from kind-hearted fans.

However, rather than sending her birthday presents, Kemi wants friends, fans and other interested persons “to visit Facebook.com/Kemiskids and support the foundation.

Kemi, through her kids foundation, serves food weekly to disadvantaged homeless children and teen amputees from Northern Nigeria who are shipped in lorry loads to the South West.

And just like she did on her 50th birthday, a giant cake will again adorn the entire Ibadan hot spots and residents will get to have a slice.

“This time, it will be the children. Most of the children in Oyo State have been out of school for eight weeks hawking and working on the streets. I will be giving each hawking kid a N200 note like I did on  my 51st birthday,’ declares Kemi, who affirmed that she cares about children in her immediate community and urged other Nigerians to join her in doing the same in their communities.
