This is a good time for Ilorin born politician, Alhaji Kawu Baraje. Baraje who retired as a Permanent Secretary in Kwara State later emerged the PDP National Secretary and eventually becoming the party’s acting National Chairman. Baraje also served as the National Chairman of the New PDP which was formed following the decision by the then governors of Rivers, Sokoto, Kano and Kwara states to dump the PDP for the APC. The gist here is that in recognition of his past roles, Baraje was among the few APC leaders that were invited and held a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
