It was a glorious and joyful moment for the CEO, Kam Industries Ltd, Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf on Sunday, 24th of March,2019, as he was recognized for the role he has played regarding Kwara State industrialization and economic growth and the country as a whole. The Iwo-Isin born industrialist was honoured at the 15th edition of an awards event tagged ‘Excellence Recognition Awards’ which was held at the Balmoral Hall, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State.

Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf was honoured with the Special Recognition Award In Business or better still ‘Business man of the Year’. Represented by the company’s Executive Director , Finance, Mr Seyi Awe, Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf said the company is committed to sustaining record as a major player in the steel industry in the country. Kam Industries Ltd has continued to grow in leaps and bounds.
Kamwire is well -known in the country and the brand had at several times won NIS and SON Cap awards. Kam Industries is the first to successfully produce galvanized roofing nail in West Africa. The company also produces zinc and coloured roofing sheets. The company is a manufacturer of nail shanks in various sizes, umbrella and couper nails, British Reinforcement Concrete (BRC) Mesh wire, binding wire, bale tile, drawn wire, straightening wires, nylon and woven sacks etc. Kam Industries with head office in Ilorin also recently ventured into another line by establishing the Kam Integrated Steel Company, Jimba-Oja.
The new plant is a 200,000 mtpa Steel Melt Shop with two Rolling Mills Complex, when it begins operation, it would produce high grade (SAE 1006 and SAE 1008) 5.5mm steel wire rods in coils and ASTM 615 and BS 449 Rebars of 12mm – 32mm diameters
