Agyole Abeh is the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police. Recently, he addressed news men on the state of security in the state especially the unending crisis in Southern Kaduna. Abubakar Abba was
there for Global Excellence.

Tell us your success since your assumption into office as
commissioner

I must tell you that, since my assumption into office as
commissioner, the rate of crime in Kaduna and its environs has dropped to  20 percent. We have made a significant success within few weeks of my assumption as commissioner on 15th of November 2016.

What is your view on police community relations?
The command is going to strengthen its police community relation
policy, we are going to talk to the communities and youth in order to
ensure that citizens of the state are kept out of danger. We want to ensure a lasting peace, we want to discharge our constitutional responsibility in ensuring that citizens are kept out of danger. We want to bring crime down in the state to the level that will be acceptable to the citizens of the state. And this will be achieved if all hands are on deck  because the issue of security is a collective responsibility.

On the issue of Southern Kaduna crisis, what is your command doing
towards ensuring a lasting peace in the region?
Kaduna is not a small state, if you can bring policemen from Plateau, Benue and Nasrawa states and deploy
them to Kaduna, they cannot cover the vast land of the area.
We will do everything possible to respond to distress calls.
