The 2nd U-17 Taiwo Afolabi Cup was played to honour Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Group Executive Vice Chairman of SIFAX Group, who clocked 56 recently.
The tournament was a partnership between Sifax Group and the Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association; he was represented by Executive Director, Finance, SIFAX Group Mr. Mike Owope and other top staff of Sifax Group.
The event which kicked off recently, took place At St. Paul Playing Ground Yaba, Lagos.
On Sunday 29th April 2018, was the Final match between Beachland FC Vs Junior Arsenal- Idimu, the competition took place at Campus Mini Stadium Ajele Lagos Island, in which, Junior Arsenal- Idimu emerged 1st, Beachland FC came 2nd, Sherif Babe
s-Isolo came 3rd.
The first runner up was given a sum of #500,000 while second runner up was given #300,000 then the third runner up was given #200,000, fourth runner up was given #100,000 to compensate for game well played.
