Businessman and socialite, Dare Paul Alebiosu, has debunked the speculation making the rounds that he was involved in the running of Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.
Dare, who also cleared air on the information mistaking him for one Deji Alebiosu, declared his unalloyed support for the Nigerian youths protesting against police brutality and misgovernance, stating that as a young man, he is also aware that the fight is for a better tomorrow for the country.
His public statement is presented below:
“My attention has been brought to a misrepresentation of name and personal photographs, mistaking me for one Deji Alebiosu, on the alleged Lekki Massacre.
For clarification, my name is Dare Paul Alebiosu, a private businessman and an indigene of Ijebu Ode local government.
I am not in anyway linked with any business at the Lekki Toll-Gate or the Lagos State government.
Though, I have at different times lend my voice to the struggle for an end to police brutality in the country, it is suffice to add that as a youth myself, I have a strong conviction that our future lies in our collective responsibilities to lay a solid foundation for better days ahead today.
Once again, I want the general public to disregard the misrepresentation as I have been inundated with calls and messages from my teeming supporters within and beyond the shores of Nigeria.”
