An aspirant to the seat of Ijebu-Ode local government in Ogun State, Hon. Dele Alebiosu, has pledged to prioritise education and agriculture, if he is elected.

Alebiosu equally pledged to place importance on rural development in order to transform the local government to be more developed.

The grassroots politician, who spoke with journalists in Ijebu-Ode, expressed concern that the number of educated youths in the local government was discouragingly low, while he decried the dwindling state of the agricultural and educational sectors, arguing that the future of the country depends on robust agriculture and education system.

Alebiosu said if elected chairman, he would ensure that a

larger number of youths in Ijebu-Ode Local government are educated and empowered through agriculture.

On agriculture, Alebiosu boasted that Ijebu-Ode, under his chairmanship would expose the Federal government to the enormity of opportunity available in the agriculture and the need to diversify the economy.

He said “Education and agriculture are two things my chairmanship will not for granted. The future of Nigeria, whether we like it or not depends solely on these two and we cannot shy for from it.”

For this reason, Alebiosu said “My administration will ensure utmost focus on education and agriculture. By the time this is achieved in Ijebu-Ode local government, the Federal government will see the need to invest immensely in the sectors.”

Alebiosu stressed that the paradigm shift would also be extended to all the wards as he would make sure he developed all the wards as well.
