Ibrahim Dende Foundation Awards Scholarships To Indigent Students

The Ibrahim Dende Foundation, one of the few non-governmental organisations in Nigeria, NGOs reputed for its genuine charitable ventures, has awarded scholarships to three indigent students. The lucky students are Obanla Adeola, a primary 6 student of Muslim School, Oja-Odan; Adegoke Michael, a primary 5 student of Deuteronomy Academy, Ilaro, and one other, to enable them continue with their secondary education.

The award is the initiative and vision of accomplished businessman, Ibrahim Dende of IBD fame under his educational and empowerment foundation designed to kick out poverty from the disadvantaged communities in the Yewa axis of Ogun State.

Speaking at the colourful Eid Mubarak celebration empowerment event organised by IBD Foundation tagged ‘Kiddies Charity Funfair’ held at Igbo Atan compound, Ebute Igooro in Yewa, Ogun State, Mrs Lara Dende, the co-founder and beautiful wife of Ibrahim Dende, reiterated the foundation’s plans to continue to impact positively on humanity.


Besides the announcement of the scholarships, the charity event also witnessed a large turnout of Nollywood stars and dignitaries like Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Ibrahim Chatta, Qdot Alagbe, Hon. Haruna Egungbohun, Hon Alabama, Mr Lekan (a branch manager at Access Bank, Abeokuta), Hon. Oyefeso, Otunba Wale Adesina, Jumla, Murphy Afolabi, amongst several others.
