According to a statement signed by the management, the criminals, Yusuff Olatunji and Ademola Toheeb were charged to court at different times on count charges of vandalism and theft.

The convictions, it stated, underscore the management’s current stance of zero tolerance for all illegal activities within its network.

Furthermore, the management of IBEDC stated that it is committed to sanitizing its network from nefarious activities such as vandalism, energy theft and staff assault, while appealing to individuals and communities to collaborate with its management to stall the menace, by reporting any of these illegal activities, via its whistleblowing channels clearly communicated on its website, social media pages, TV and radio programmes etc.

In addition, IBEDC said customers can support its service by monitoring electricity installations within their communities.
