A group under the aegis of Yooba 2023 Presidential Agenda’s Project has called on the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria to accept the power shift to Southwest region come 2023 elections.
The leader of the coalition, Comr. Ajayi Taiwo, made the appeal at a world press conference in Abuja at the weekend.
Taiwo who double as the National Director of project, 2023 Yooba presidential agenda, stressed that “The aggregate of elements of Yoruba entity should not be undermined rather use a systematic method in taking away the mandate of 2023 presidency from South West region”.
He disclosed that since Nigeria’s Independence in 1960 the northern region has rules the country for 45, while the South holds power for only 15 years.
In an inclusive interview, the head strategic and Communication Yooba Presidential Agenda, Hon Dr. Aliyu Mohammed Doffanni stated that the north had unanimously agreed to allow the Southwest to produce presidential candidate come 2023. According to him, politics is game of numbers and north had the population to rule Nigeria till eternity.
In the same vein, the patron of the group, Chief Olowu Ameh Sunday, and the women leader Princess Sikirat Faluyo all appealed to well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians across the six geopolitical zones to support the agitation of Southwest for presidential ambition come 2023.
