Gov. Ahmed’s  Message To Parents, Children

 Kwara state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed  has  appealed  to parents and guardians  to spend more time with their children as such will help build a better society and a secured future for the  young ones.

 

Governor Ahmed who stated this in his Children’s Day message to Kwarans  said the celebration reminds not only the leaders at all levels of the need to prioritize the welfare of every Nigerian child but also the parents on  the need to spend more valuable time with  the children noting that no nation can grow beyond the quality of its children who are the potential leaders and the experts in the various fields of human endeavours in the future.

 

Ahmed  also assured Kwarans that his administration will continue to formulate and implement policies that would be favourable to the  children. Parents and the guardians  were also urged by Ahmed to bequeath quality education, moral and spiritual upbringing to their children and wards with the aim of making them useful citizens also asserted that education remains free and compulsory for the children in the state.

 

‘My administration is resolute and determined to improve the welfare of every child. Our Health Insurance Scheme is one of the ways we hope to guarantee quality lives for them’ he said.

Ahmed however lamented the growing cases of the abuses faced by the children in the hands of some unscrupulous parents, guardians and caregivers, promising that the government will not hesitate to  make those found culpable  face the law in order  to serve as deterrent to others
