Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun will this week announce the names of his Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
The Governor on Thursday in a letter dated, Tuesday, July 2, sent to the State House of Assembly sought for the approval of the House in appointing two Senior Special Assistants and 20 Special Assistants to oversee the affairs of the State, pending the appointment of Commissioners for the various ministries.
The House led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo granted the request of the Governor.
Governor Abiodun had pledged to carry members of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) along in appointing members of Executive Council that will work with him.
He had instructed the chieftains of the party from the 20 local government areas of the State at a meeting to submit names of individuals they would like him to appoint into his cabinet.
Meanwhile, members of the public are eagerly waiting for the governor to appoint his commissioners, arguing that four months is more than enough time for the governor to form his cabinet.
