Gov Abdulrazaq Takes Fresh Steps On Sale Of Assets

Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman has taken fresh steps on issues centering on sale of assets belonging to the state government.

A   panel to bring out white paper on the report of the Commission of Inquiry into sales, disposal and unlawful acquisition of Kwara State Government properties between 29th May 1999 and 29th May 2019 was constituted by the Governor penultimate week.

The seven-man panel is headed by a prominent lawyer;  Barrister Husseini Buhari,  Hajia Aisha Muhammed; Hon. Olabode Towoju;  an estate valuer , Mr. Muri Adi;  retired federal civil servants; Funmilayo Gold and  Joel Olusola Oladipo will serve as members  while an  Assistant Director,  Mayaki Babadzuko Madu was named as Secretary.  Governor Abdulrazaq had in June 2019 set up a 21-member committee to look into government properties. The committee had Senator Sulaiman Ajadi as Chairman.
