It seems like yesterday when Sonnia Agu a Nigerian humanitarian and social entrepreneur came up with Sapio C 
lub.
Now the club is five years of it’s existence and still counting.
It could be recalled that since the inception, the Sapiosexual Club has grown in bonds and has membership strength of over 10,000 young professional.
According to Sonnia Agu, the intention and the aims of the club is gradually comjng to reality.
“Our mentoring program has birthed a vibrant community of high achieving entrepreneur, civil society leaders and public servant who are unrepentantly committed to taking bold actions that create career and national success .
Morerover, our work has helped to restore civic hope and reduce political apathy by creating a new breed of politically consious individuals.
It’s a group that brings together young people with love for intellectual stimulating activities.
It’s a formidable force for diverse intellectual African citizen, proposing and implementing homegrown solutions for our development.”
And in just it’s five years of existence, the group can be said to have done well
Agu spoke again:
“The success we have recorded so far therefore emboldens us to expand our reach and create a bigger platform that works around the clock to continue inspiring the leaders of today while preparing for the task of national development that rests on their shoulders,”
Meanwhile, she believe the best is yet to come from the group.
“We aren’t relax on our oars as we still drive to go further to give out our best. Just like our colour codes represent
Black , it represents power and strength which we are preaching.
Gold, represents wisdom, wealth , illumination and success which are what we crave for.
While the red represents the fallen heroes who fought for the freedom and development of the African race and man kind. And if you remember one of the lyric in our national anthem it says ” Thy neighbor of our heroes past shall never be in vain” so we still hold on to that.”
Sonnia who was last year invited to Egypt by Egyptian government rounded it up with the club phylosophy
“The Sapiosexual Elite Association (SEA) aka Sapio club is birthed by G-1st international foundation to rally Africa’s youthful intellectual to form a common front towards finding, proposing, and when possible, implementing enduring solutions to combat the hydra- headed social-political and economic challenges bedevilling Nigeria, I Africa and the global sphere with fierce urgency”.
