Glister Success Limited, a solid mineral resources exploration company has taken steps that made it known that it is actually socially and environmentally responsible.
The company as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has taken necessary steps to impact the lives of residents of communities where its offices are located and where it carries out mining activities.
This was done to contribute to the growth and the development of the mining communities.
Indigenes of Alaguntan-Igbori, Orire Local Government area of Oyo state were among the beneficiaries.
Four among the beneficiaries got cars while two got motorcycles.
The formal presentation of the cars and motorcycles to the beneficiaries was done at the company’s head office in Ilorin.
Dignitaries including the Onigbori of Igbori land, Alhaji Ganiyu Gidado, the coordinator, Alaguntan mini field, Alhaji Jimoh Akinpelu and the General Manager, Glister Success Ltd,
Alhaji Moshood Owolabi Ajadi attended the event.
The beneficiaries in their separate speeches thanked and commended the company for the gesture while promising to ensure that the long-standing peaceful relationship that has existed between Glister Success Ltd and the local residents will be jealously guarded, protected and sustained.
Giving his remarks, the Chairman / CEO, Glister Success Ltd, Engineer (Chief) Bamidele Babatunde, who was represented by the General Manager, Alhaji Moshood Owolabi Ajadi said the decision to empower local residents of communities where the company has registered presence was to ensure Glister Success Ltd gives back to the society.
‘We will continue to come up with life-changing and people- oriented programmes . We have been doing this and we will sustain it in order to reach out to the people. This has been made a priority and we derive joy in doing this annually’ he said.
