Nollywood rising actress, Funmi Awelewa, is in happy mood. The Olubadan of Ibadan, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, has endorsed her soon-to-be-released movie, Omo Ibadan.
A source said that, the beautiful and highly talented actress popularly called Morili on stage, a few days ago, paid a courtesy visit to the monarch in his palace, with her crew, to seek royal blessings for the multimillion naira project that is set to make a statement in the industry when released.
Omo Ibadan, we gathered, is a movie centered primarily on the cultural values of the ancient city of Ibadan
The source said that the Olubadan while receiving the crew, expressed his joy on Awelewa’s patriotic effort and he his blessings with a pledge to offer supports in other areas necessary.
Awelewa’s self-produced comedy movie, Morili Aromimawe, was a huge success, we learnt. Her latest, ‘Omo Ibadan’, is proudly supported by Nigeria’s leading youth/campus magazine, ACADA.
