“Forget Magu As EFCC Boss, Send Us New Name” …Saraki Tells Buhari

SarakiSenate President, Bukola Saraki has told President Muhammadu Buhari to dispense with the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu and to present his replacement to the Senate for confirmation as soon as possible.

 

With the rejection of Magu, Saraki explained that the lawmakers has played their constitutional role as an arm of government on the matter.

“With the screening being carried out in a transparent manner, we see democracy at work.

 

“I believe we have played our part; we have followed the Constitution and due process.

 

“We hope that the executive will quickly act and bring in another name as soon as possible so that the activities of the agency will not be crippled.”
