Femi Branch Leads Nollywood Team on Condolence Visit to Late Actress, Rachael Oniga’s Family

Following the tragic loss of renowned actress, Late Chief Rachel Oniga,whose death came as a huge shock to the entertainment industry,a team of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, AGN,made condolence visits to the deceased’s home on the 4th of august, 2021.

Her death, which occurred on the 30th of July, 2021, stunned and saddened many of her followers and well-wishers. Many took to social media to express their sorrows and sympathies, while others opted to pay her family a condolence visit.

Chief Femi Branch, the Vice-chairman of the AGN’s Southwest Wing, headed the delegation of the distinguished members of the guild who presented a condolence letter on behalf of the president and the association to the family.

He visited the residence of the demised in a contingent that comprises of the former President of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN): Mr. Segun Arinze, National Secretary: Mr. Abu Abubakar, SSA to the President On Int. Travels and Special Duties: Miss Ifeoma Okeke, the Lagos State AGN Chairman: Mr. Emeka Rising Ibeh, his deputy: Mrs. Bukky Fagbuyi, the Former National Secretary of the AGN; Mr. Femi Durojaiye, Former Chairman, Lagos state: Mr. Don Pedro Aganbi, Former Vice Chairman Lagos AGN: Mr. Chris Iheuwa.

Mr. Victor Osuagwu, Mr. Sean Faqua, members of the Lagos State AGN Exco, and other noteworthy Guild members are among those in attendance.

The guild conveyed its condolences to the grieving family and expressed shock at the tragic death of their beloved colleague, sister, and friend, whose absence would be felt throughout the entertainment business.

The actors’ guild delagations who were well received by the deceased family encouraged the children to feel themselves as members of the Actors’ Guild’s family, affirming their commitment to easing the burden occasioned by the irreparable loss.

The late Chief Oniga’s sister conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the veterans who took the time to make a condolence visit to the family, expressing their love and concern to them.

“On behalf of the deceased’s family, I convey my heartfelt gratitude to your organization, it demonstrates that Chief Rachel Oniga was valued as a member of the Actors’ Guild”, she says, shortly after informing the family of their intention to offer the dead a posthumous award.
