A stakeholders parley has been held by the Ogun State government with critical stakeholders to find lasting solutions to the lingering crisis between farmers and herders, a situation that has resulted to loss of many lives and property.
The meeting held in Abeokuta, the state capital drew the attention of four Northern governors, governors of Ogun and Ondo, traditional rulers, farmers and herders representatives, leaders of thought, heads of security operatives in the state among others.
The gathering agreed that there is need for a peaceful coexistence, respect for human lives and the need to shun all forms of divisive tendencies for socio-economic development of the country.
