Faridah Dankaka Gets FCC Job


Ten years after a prominent Kwaran, Professor Oba Abdulraheem left the Federal Character Commission, FCC as Chairman, President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated an indigene of Offa, Faridah Dankaka as new Chairman.

Alhaja  Muhibat Faridah Dankaka,  is a well known businesswoman in the construction industry and consumer products.

 A  product of Bayero University , Kano and a former banker , she was elected President,  Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture ,KADCCIMA, in 2016.

An indigene of Offa, Kwara State  she is said to  have paid her dues and quite relevant in the nation’s political circle. She is an old face in the Kwara State political circle having contested for Kwara South senatorial ticket on two occasions.

She contested for the PDP  Kwara South Senatorial ticket in  2015 with her childhood friend, Mrs. Amina Namadi Sambo  desirous of having her as winner of the senatorial primary.

When the woman of substance who is a major distributor of Dangote products in the north later defected to the APC; she also contested for the Kwara South senatorial ticket in 2019 but eventually lost the ticket to Senator Lola Ashiru.
