There was palpable tension at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, following the mysterious death of a popular event manager.
The deceased, popularly known as MC Debo Taiwo, a 54-year old, who was also into media consultancy, had visited one of his clients who is a top department official at the institution (name withheld) when the unexpected event happened.
According to an eyewitness’ account, two Mondays ago, Taiwo, full of life, was reportedly invited by the director to collect the balance of the job he did for the department earlier.
Not long after he got to the director’s office, while waiting to be sorted out, said the source, Taiwo allegedly slumped from his seat, while all efforts to revive him proved abortive.
As we gathered, uneasy calm now pervades the institution’s campus, while it was uncertain if the police was immediately notified.
