“Baba was a straight forward person, he was  a  very good man who loved  his grandchildren a lot.  I became a member of the family 21 years ago and from the first day I met him he has treated me as his own. He treated  me as a queen, he used to call me (Olori). Sometimes, we may have different opinions on issues and he would still say ‘Olori,I know what you are saying is right’, he was a very good man.

He was a father figure to me because I lost my  father 10 years ago. First of all, he took proper care of all his grandchildren, he would ask about how they are doing always. He regularly had telephone conversations with them and he would ask them to hand the phone over to me and thank me for taking care of his grandchildren, his phone calls and all his prayers are what we will miss.  We were actually planning a birthday surprise for him, because he used to come to Lagos every three months. He was supposed to turn 90 in October,” the late Prince Michael Adedosu Oyewole Oyelude’s daughter-in-law, Mrs Yemi Oyelude, said.
