Senator Abiodun Olujimi

A former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief (Mrs.) Abiodun Olujimi, may dump the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) anytime soon, if information at our disposal is anything to go by.

Olujimi is a serving senator representing Ekiti South.

Sources in the know told Global Excellence magazine that though, Senator Olujimi’s ambition to become the next governor of Ekiti State is a major factor in her plot to abandon the sitting governor, she has nursed the plot to return to her former boss, Engr. Olusegun Oni, a former governor in whose tenure Olujimi served as commissioner. Oni is has also announced his ambition to contest for the Ekiti governorship again.

According to our source, there is a grand plot by the Ekiti state academics to unseat Ayo Fayose in the next election come what may. The source added that the plot includes supporting a consensus candidate among themselves so long the result was to see Fayose who they refer as ‘an embarrassment to the Fountain of Knowledge’ out of office.

Another former deputy governor in Ekiti State, Mr Abiodun Aluko, one week ago, dumped the PDP on the allegation that Governor Fayose was turning the party to his personal estate and harassing prominent leaders.

Other PDP big wigs that the source said may dump the Fayose-led government  soon are Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Michale Adedeji and Adeojo Fajana.
