The road to fame may indeed seem a tortuous one for young Afro and highlife artiste, Adegboyega Courage aka Don Leo. But it would be worth all the effort as the budding star finally launches his 15 track album before celebs and stars at the Presken Hotel in Ikeja Lagos, on June 3rd this year.

Courage is no newbie in the entertainment world as he had performed in high profile events like Nigeria Media Nite Out, City Peoples Awards, Global Excellence Awards, AFRIMA, Classic Magazine Awards among many.

A member of the Cornel Entertainment Group which is helping to promote his music, Don Leo has worked with the likes of Missy Joe, Fynfaz, and Kingocaro. His sojourn into the music world began in 2010 with his debut release UKWU SUPER. However, getting record labels to sign him has been daunting.

But the first in a family of four children has kept his flicker of hope burning to see the birthing of his new title ELEVATED which would be unveiled during the star studded event tagged Music, Comedy and Dance to be held on June 3rd in Presken Hotel.

The red carpet event which is been organised by Cornel Entertainment, would play host to SP Ngozi Braide, manager oil and gas Police Special Fraud Unit Ikoyi, and Nollywood Diva and fashionista, Diamond Igwe, the Special Assistance to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Entertainment matters.

Don Leo who likes to define himself as a natural entertainer, believes his music will not only serves as dancehall edition, but will address the usual societal ills thereby inspiring his fans.

Recounting past experiences, Don Leo says: ”it was difficult promoting my music on tv, radio, and the social media, because of a lack of funds. Record labels are not going to promote you if your music have not reached a certain level. But thank God we are doing better than yesterday.”

Adegboyega Courage stated that if he wasn’t into music, he will be pursuing a career in Nollywood as an actor. He recounted the unforgettable experience he’d had to endure after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident while traveling for a show in Eastern Nigeria.

Looking forward to his formal unveiling, Don Leo assures fans of a new blend of Afro Pop and Highlife music.
