Fresh revelations have confirmed that a detained member of the Neo-Black Movement (Black Axe Confraternity), Emmanuel Olatunji, arrested by the Police in Ilaro, Ogun State on Sunday is an organist with The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Mega Parish, in the town.

Olatunji, who is also the Students Union Government (SUG) President of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, was arrested in company with another Black Axe member, Olanrewaju Taiwo, during the initiation of new members into the organisation

A security source, who spoke under the condition of anonymity told our correspondent that, “He (Olatunji) is a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mega Parish, here in Ilaro. In fact, he is the organist of the church. You can imagine if he had gone to church on that Sunday, how would he have been arrested? He disappointed God, and God has a way of dealing with people like that.”

Pressed to explain how the cultists were arrested, the source said, “One of them who claimed to be visiting Ilaro from Ifo asked for direction from one of us, not knowing that we are part of a five-man vigilante team, which the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro has in that part of town. You know, we have three teams of five people each patrolling all the areas, where students live in the town. The management of the school set up the system to protect students and also stop things like this (cultism).

“He asked for direction to a particular Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) and he was in company with some other young people. After directing him to the church, I pretended to leave, but discreetly followed them from a distance to properly observe them. You will not believe it that they did not enter the Celestial Church. Instead, they took to a bush path beside the church. It was at this point, I quickly alerted my colleagues by phone, and continued following them.

“My colleagues joined me after I had discovered their gathering place, where we observed them singing with their attires. To our shock, we saw the SUG president among them. It was at this point we contacted the School and Chairman of the Community
