Kwara state chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC has for two weeks now been bedeviled by pervasive crisis sequel to disputations over chairmanship of the state APC.

Things had actually fallen apart in the relationship among APC leaders in the state shortly after the ‘sweeping’ election victory recorded by the party at the 2019 General Election.

Two people have  laid claim and asserted themselves as chairman of Kwara state APC for two weeks now.

The two claimants have however been left to grapple with ‘an unpredictable situation’ as the party’s National  Caretaker Committee has been going back and forth on the issue.

Chairman, APC Caretaker Committee, Kwara state, Hon Bashir Bolarinwa was said to have been removed and that his deputy; Alhaji Abdulahi Samori had been named as acting chairman.

While the two ministers from the state; Minister of Information and Culture , Alhaji Lai Muhammed and Minister of State for Transport, Senator Gbemisola Saraki  are in support of Bolarinwa retaining his position, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been solidly behind Samori.

The two; Bolarinwa and Samori have continued to assert themselves as Chairman of the state APC.

The unpredictable situation has continued with the APC National Caretaker Committee not issuing a categorical statement announcing one of them as the recognized chairman
