City Businessman, Talabi Oladipupo, Set To Become 'Otunba Akogun of Iworo' 


A top businessman and grassroots politician, Hon Talabi Oladele Oladipupo will in few days’ time be conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Otunba Akogun of Iworo in Ijebu North East local government area of Ogun state.

The Oliworo of Iworo, Oba Alayeluwa Onafuwa, JP in a congratulatory letter to the recipient dated November 5, 2020, a copy of which was obtained by Gateway Times Nigeria said the title was conferred on Hon Oladipupo in appreciation of his numerous contribution to the development of Iworo community in particular.

The kabiyesi who described Hon Oladipupo as a patriotic, hardworking and dedicated community leader however charged him to reciprocate the Otunba’s title with visible contribution to Iworo community.

According to Oba Onafuwa, “of course, we observe with appreciation your numerous contributions to the development of our country and Iworo in particular. Your high integrity, hard work, patriotism and dedication to the peace, progress and development of our community have always been well recognized and above all, as a worthy Ijebu ambassador”, the monarch added.

Hon Talabi Oladele Oladipupo in his acceptance letter, while appreciating the traditional ruler for honouring him with the Otunba title, however promised to ensure peaceful co-existence and further protect lives and property within and beyond the community.
