The coming of Coronavirus pandemic a.k.a. Covid-19 which adversely affected the economy around the world, of course, did not spare businesses especially entertainment business like nightclubbing. The most affected is Lagos, Nigeria, known for harbouring high class club houses and favourites of VIP fun seekers.

Although, most businesses have returned to their normal activities, it is not until recent when restrictions placed by governments on entertainment centres were lifted that most club houses started running skeletal services.

Club In-Vogue and Lounge owned by an expert in nightclubbing business, Chris Erondu, is one of those affected in this regard.

Formerly known as ‘Page’, Club In-Vogue and Lounge located in an exclusive vicinity of Opebi, Ikeja, has continued to experience huge patronage and turn-ups regularly by night crawlers who seek the best atmosphere to unwind, especially on the mainland. The clubhouse has retained its top position among its competitors boasting of the best environment, three classy dance floors, a big bar and exquisite dining.

According to Erondu, “Club In-Vogue has continued to wax stronger because we don’t only plan for today, we always plan ahead. Bringing newness to your brand at every point is what can edge you ahead of your competitors and this is what we have been doing even before the name was changed from Page to Club In-Vogue.”

Speaking on the Covid-19 effect on the business, Erondu stated that, “we practically shut down the business for one year. We are law abiding and a business that obeys the rules of where we operate. Hence, we followed Lagos State Government’s dictates; even now, we observe all Covid-19 protocols and try as much as possible to control the influx of guests into the club, especially on weekends.”

Mr Erondu also disclosed that, “things were slowed down at some point here because we were setting up a branch of the brand in Owerri, Imo-State. We shall also be re-launching Club In-Vogue in Lagos soon, where we shall be inviting our friends in the music and entertainment industry.”
