The President and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has joined the ranks of men of God condemning the CAMA 2020 recently passed into law by President Muhammad Buhari.
According to the fiery preacher, “no one will respect a law (CAMA) that has no respect for the law itself”.
Suleman believes the clause in CAMA which ousts the power of the court to look into cases where the board of trustees are imposed on churches accused of breaching the Act is unlawful and unconstitutional.
“That can only happen in military regimes, he said. Every citizen must have a right of redress in court under any given situation”.
Without mincing words, CAMA is an evil act, he said. In the words of the man of God, there is no use comparing charity organizations in Nigeria with those in the U.K and U.S.A.
”Governments in those countries support and fund charity organizations. But that is not the case here. So, how can you want to regulate what you neither fund nor support”, Suleman asked rhetorically.
The CAMA which has continued to generate controversies and rebuke by NGOs and churches should be confined to the dustbin according to Apostle Suleman.
