Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the executive Governor of Oyo State is already making a serious move to reconcile aggrieved party members who are likely to work against his choice in 2019.
An inside source told our reporter that the governor in his second term in office had denied some of those who worked for him the grace to enjoy the fruits of their labour, by ignoring them and denying them political appointment. He even removed some as council chairmen and board members and prevented them from the government house. Some of the affected politicians are already working for an opposition party towards 2019.
But in a smart move, the governor directed his aides on political matters under the leadership of Barrister Morohunkola Thomas to embark on a reconciliatory move and they have since swung into action by moving from one local government to the other. Although the meeting yielded result, some of the aggrieved members said they would not renege on their stand against the governor because he has failed them and they understand that his reconciliatory move is another plan to use them to achieve his political goal in 2019.
