AHBEAwards to Honour Sola Fosudo, Ambrose Somide, Other Nigerian Entertainers in Texas Oct 23

The city of Houston, Texas, USA is set to host the sixth edition of Afro-Heritage Broadcasting and Entertainment Award tagged AHBEAward 6.0.
The AHBEAwards is an annual event established and designed to identify and celebrate the contributions of African descendants and other Afro heritage personalities who have distinguished themselves, through the work of art and that have as well contributed positively both in print and electronic media, to the growth of the entertainment industry across the globe.
Mr. Yomi Fash Lanso who is the spokesperson of the annual award event stated that captains of industry, business tycoons, icons and gurus from other walks of life among others, are expected to be in attendance.
This year’s event colouration would be distinct, unique and in grand style, as the Chairman of AHBEAwards is a Royal personage in Nigeria. His Royal Majesty, Oba Omogbolahan Abdulwasiu Lawal, Abisogun ll, The Oniru of Iru Kingdom Victoria Island, Lagos is tipped to attend this year’s event as the Royal father of the day.
While announcing the 2022 recipients of the prestigious African award and the categories of their nominations, Chief Seun Alabi (Director of Programmes) and Mr. Tayo Ibikunle Prosper (Executive Director), revealed the names of Prof. Sola Fosudo and Dr. Doyin Hassan as recipients of AHBEA Legendary award in Entertainment; and Aare Ambrose Olutayo Somide as recipient of AHBEA Legendary award in Broadcasting respectively.
In the AHBEAward of Excellence in Entertainment category, the names of Funsho Adeolu, Wale Adebayo ‘Sango’, Femi Brainard and Doyin Kukoyi featured. Others are Regina Chukwu, Ambassador Dotun Taylor, Dr. Yinka Farinde, Oluwatoyin Adewale and Adekunle Olalekan Afod.
However, Susan Peters is set to be awarded the Special Recognition in Entertainment while Dr. David Imonitie of I Believe Foundation will receive the Humanitarian award, 2022 respectively.
Other Nollywood celebrities expected to grace the occasion include Alhaji Wale Akorede (Okunnu), US based Bayo Bankole (Boy Alinko), Dallas based Mistura Asunramu Alao, Canada based Prince Niyi Oyatoye Baba Asa, US based Sheyi Ashekun, Kemi Ogunleye, Megamercy Davis, Kola Amusan, Mc Banny, world renowned singer Jemiriye, Kayode Akinbayo, Canada based Olori Funmi Adedeji, just to  mention a few. While live music would be supplied by Dotman of Enu gbe sensation.
The 2022 edition holds at AYVA CENTER 9371 Richmond Ave, Houston, TX 77063, on Sunday the 23rd October, 2022. It will be hosted by ace star celebrity African multiple award winning event host and comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka D1st GCON, while the red carpet will be hosted by Ranti Jacobs~Agbaminoja of Imoran media based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
