The ancient town of Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun State will play host to dignitaries from different walks of live as billionaire businessman, Senator Buruji Kashamu marks his late mother, Alhaja Wulemotu Ebunoluwa Kashamu’s 40th day funeral with pomp on Saturday, 21st of September, 2019.
Until her death, the late Alhaja Kashamu was a prominent businesswoman, community and religious leader. She was the Iya Suna Musulumi of Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.
According to Austin Oniyokor, Senator Kashamu’s spokesman and head of the media committee for the event, various sub-committees have been set up and are working round the clock with relevant agencies and institutions to make the event a success.
The late Alhaja Kashamu died on the 7th of August, 2019, at the age of 96 and her remains were committed to mother earth in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, on the 8th of August, 2019, according to Islamic rites.
