9th ‘Ogo Yoruba Awards’ Holds December *Jimi Agbaje, Onipokia to attend

Ambassador Wale Adeoba, popularly known as Mr. Packaging who is the executive producer of the reputable Ogo Yoruba Awards (OYA) has concluded plans to stage the 9th edition of the award like no other cultural heritage event in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

Information available revealed that the organizing committee and the awards selection panel are set to present the 9th edition of Ogo Yoruba Award (OYA 2021) in grand style with its normal tradition to select the best of the best honourees/awardees from the shortlisted profile entries to determine those that deserve to be honoured at OYA Awards 2021.

 

The epoch making back-to-back awards and event promise to have in attendance notable royal fathers, ambassadors, celebrities, other professionals e.g. actors, musicians, comedians, OAPs, fashionistas, entertainers, models, media personnel, and other achievers from different walks of life to felicitate and associate with the recipients and awardees that are making the Yoruba tribe proud and unwind in a lighter mood.

Further findings revealed that the credible awards is positioned in celebrating glory beyond heritage and culture as a special exclusive event arranged to unite and amplify Nigerians that are doing good works irrespective of tribe, but not limited to Yoruba stars, entertainers, professionals and individuals to create fun, glamour and reward by honouring creativity and exemplary individual talents.

 

It is basically related to Yoruba tradition and culture in Nigeria and abroad by promoting the people that have secured high perception for Yoruba heritage in their respective talents and professions.

 

For this year’s forthcoming award with a special lecture from who-is-who in different walks of life will herald a new beginning of taking the annual celebration to the next level.

 

Also, it will be unique and different with special engagement of Chief Jimi Agbaje as the Chief Host and Oba Onipokia as the Royal Father of the day respectively.

 

The performing artistes are Alhaji Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, Dele Gold, Dr. Lanre Teriba, Ere Asalatu, King Jide Harmony, Cultural Dancers, Chanters, Black Edge Productions and many others.

 

For glitz and glamour, the organizers also have in plan to make it a colourful African style evening event where all guests are to adorn special Ankara Aso-Ebi that will be used as the Gate Pass to be part of the 9th Ogo Yoruba Awards ceremony.

 

The 9th Ogo Yoruba Awards (OYA 2021) will be staged at the reputable event hall calledNUT Pavillion Event Centre, Plot 5, Block B, NERDC Road, Beside Tisco Plaza, By African Shrine, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday December 5, 2021 with the Red Carpet by 2.00pm and the Award Proper by 4.00pm.

 

Gbenga Adeyinka De 1st and Alimat Adesola (LASGIDI FM) are the hosts for the day and renowned Bewaji Adekunle (JP) is the anchor of the event.

 

The Ogo Yoruba Awards popularly known as OYA which started nine years ago on a good note has become a global brand embraced by many all around the globe. And, the industry watchers have anticipated that the 2021 edition will be the bigger and better to beat and copy in this part of the world.
