Often times, the ancient Ogbomoso town in Oyo State is in the news for good reasons.
This may not be unconnected with some of the illustrious sons and daughters who have projected the town positively to the outside world.
But the event of last week may not be one that would be desired by many.
Major stakeholders in the town were forced not only to a protest but also to block the Oyo-Ogbomoso road.
As a way to express their grievances about the state of the road which has been left uncompleted for over 10 years, the people of Ogbomoso forced travellers along the route to wait for hours without movement.
They, through their protest, brought movement along the busy road to a standstill for a period of time reasonable enough for government and other well- meaning Nigerians to look at their side.
