Residents of the Zulu Gambari Road, Ilorin had cause to thank God as they were saved from facing a gory sight, three people sustained minor injuries on Friday when a section of a four-storey building on the road undergoing restructuring caved in. Global Excellence gathered that the restructuring was being done in line with the observation and the advice by the officials of the state Town Planning Authority. The incident occurred at about 10am. Those injured were said to be working on the site when the incident happened and taken to the hospital for medical attention. It was gathered that the Town Planning Authority had earlier advised the owners of the building to restructure the project and that they were carrying out the counsel when the section collapsed. “We thank God that it was not a very serious problem and there was no casualty”, said a man at the site. The spokesman of the state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi who confirmed the incident, however, said that no life was lost.
